The rich, well worn, cherry wood of the century-old level; contrasting with the sparkling brass hardware, highlight the rich warm charm of the piece. This level has some unusual, distinct markings that give some clues that it was used by a "Plumber" who worked for "BFG Co." This beautiful, coat rack will add character and practicality to ANY space regardless of your style. Hang potholders in the kitchen, hats in the hallway, tools in the workshop, towels in the bath, or leashes at the door -- the functions are limitless!
 
This product is HANDMADE AND ORIGINAL -- a unique piece of history. This vintage wood level - circa early 1900's (patented in 1906) - was manufactured by the Stanley Rule and Level Co of New Britain, Connecticut. This is their adjustable model No. 25. The brass pieces are original (see photos for labels and markings). All three original glass vials are in tact and are in proper working order - hanging your new coat rack true and straight on the wall will be a breeze!

•When we uncovered this set of sturdy, SOLID BRASS, DOUBLE HOOKS we knew they would be perfect for this project- the beautiful brass of the level called for something grand. We know they'll service you well as they handle your "hang-ups"! :-)

 **Antique levels are the centerpieces of our coat racks.  Each level is cleaned just enough to enhance its vintage character and natural patina. Imperfections (rust, dents, scratches, wear) are expected, due to the age of each level, and are part of the appeal of this vintage element in our pieces.   

• KEYHOLE BRACKETS have been applied to the back of the level for mounting purposes  (see photos) - buyer provides the anchor depending on installation surface. 2 mounting brackets installed on back of level for hanging - 24" apart.
