***Up-cycled Vintage Carpenter's Level Coat Rack. ***

The Details: 
This vintage wood level - circa early 1900's - was manufactured by the Disston & Morss Keystone Tool Co. of Philadelphia PA. Both original glass vials have been replaced by modern versions and are in proper working order - hanging your new coat rack true and level on any wall will be a BREEZE! ;-) Keyhole brackets have been applied to the back of the level for mounting purposes  (see photos) - buyer provides the anchor of your choice depending on installation surface. The set of solid brass hooks was uncovered as bits of architectural salvage. We know they'll service you well in their new life as they handle your "hang-ups"! :-)

Authentic antique levels are the centerpieces of our coat racks.  Each level is cleaned just enough to enhance its vintage character and natural patina. Imperfections (rust, dents, scratches, wear) are expected, due to the age of each level, and are part of the appeal of this vintage element in our pieces.   The brass hooks included are "rescued" items as well and will show signs of patina from their previous life - this is expected and desired as it adds to the charm of the piece.
