Edison Touch Lamp with Spy Camera and Case on Eucalyptus

Edison Touch Lamp with Spy Camera and Case on Eucalyptus

$205.00

This Edison Touch Lamp has a Eucalyptus hard wood base, and offers a bit of mid-century nostalgia with its Emson Sub-Miniature Spy Camera touch point.

The wood: was rescued from a eucalyptus tree, rare to the Orlando area, downed after a storm and recovered by a mill known for rescuing & reclaiming old wood.

The Emson camera: This type of camera, popular (and fully functional) in the 1950's, was a dime store novelty.  It was commonly referred to as a "spy camera" because of its diminutive size, and is now a collectors' favorite. It adds the perfect "focal point" (pun intended :) to our vintage lamp which can be turned on and off, as well as dimmed to 3 intensity levels, by simply touching the camera. An especially unique aspect of this camera is that it comes with the original leather case which is looped around the socket, thus adding to its collectors' appeal and kicking up the camera's "cute-factor" (or "cool-factor," if you prefer) 10 fold!

The Details: The lamp's impeccable vintage details are completed with a twisted, fabric-wrapped electrical cord, an extra large 5" diameter Edison bulb, and a reproduction antique-style plug to complete the charming vintage look.

This one-of-a-kind piece would be perfect for the photography buff or for the spy in the family.
