This Edison Touch Lamp has a Eucalyptus hardwood base, and offers a bit of mystery with the touch point being a Crystar Sub-Miniature Spy camera.  The camera is a vintage 1950's dime-store novelty turned 2017 collectors' favorite. It adds the perfect "focal point" (pun intended :) to our vintage lamp which can be turned on and off, as well as dimmed to 3 intensity levels, by simply touching the camera (via a 3-way dimmable touch sensor). Vintage 1960's era metal slide frames coordinate with the photography theme of the lamp and can be filled with photos of loved ones to personalize the lamp - for yourself or as a gift. The lamp's impeccable vintage details are enhanced with a twisted, fabric-wrapped electrical cord and a reproduction antique-style plug to complete the charming vintage look. This one-of-a-kind piece would be perfect for the photography buff or for the "spy" in the family.  

DETAILS:

The wood:  The eucalyptus, rare to Orlando, was downed (after one of our plethora of storms) and recovered by a local mill who specializes in rescuing old wood.  As an extremely brittle wood, the eucalyptus takes some special coaxing (and hours of labor) to bring it to its current brilliance (if we do say so ourselves)... ;)

The camera: Crystar is one of many brands of fully-functional, sub-miniature cameras popular in the 1950's, and, because of its diminutive size, was commonly referred to as a "spy camera". If you say you heard it here, we won't kill you - but we'll definitely deny every word! ;)

The frames: We searched high and low for the perfect frames to compliment our little camera until we discovered these little vintage gems.  Authentic metal photo slide frames (sans negatives) - circa 1960's.  Just trim your favorite shots and "slide" them in!  OR feel free to keep OUR relatives in view - we love them, so should you! <3

Other vintage components: vintage-inspired twisted, fabric-wrapped electrical cord; an extra large 5" diameter Edison bulb, vintage-look ceramic socket; and a reproduction antique-style plug - to complete the charming vintage look.
